I am a trained accredited counsellor and a member of the BACP. I offer face to face counselling and have over fifteen years experience. I qualified as a counsellor in 2004 at Durham University.

I usually work from a Person-Centred perspective although sometimes I use an Integrative approach, depending on the presenting problem. I believe that the Rogerian core conditions of Person-Centred counselling are important as a basis to any counselling. However, I do use CBT, Solution Focussed and some Gestalt counselling.

I offer a safe, non-judgemental and trusting environment to explore those difficult times in your life.  This can be done through face to face sessions, telephone or Skype.

Counselling can help when there seems to be no way out or when decisions are difficult to make. When often the World seems depressing and grey, counselling can help to make it seem brighter. I help you to try and find answers from within yourself but do not give advice, although I encourage change if where you are is not good for you. I can maybe help you think from a different perspective.

As well as having a Postgraduate Diploma from Durham University in counselling, I have a Honours Degree in Psychology. I am a member of the British Psychological Society as well as the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists.

I currently have supervision for an hour and a half each month and I attend Professional Development regularly. I also have an enhanced CRB.
